Types of Football Bets
1X2, Over/Under, BTTS, Handicap, Correct Score — every market explained.
1X2 (Match result)
The simplest market: you bet on the home win (1), draw (X) or away win (2). This is the most liquid market with the most competitive odds. It's the best starting point for new bettors.
Over / Under (Goals)
You bet on the total number of goals in the match. Over 2.5 = at least 3 goals. Under 2.5 = maximum 2 goals. This market is ideal when you have a conviction about the pace of a game but not the winner.
BTTS — Both Teams to Score
Yes = both teams score at least 1 goal each. No = at least one team fails to score. Independent of the final result. Particularly interesting for matches between attacking teams with fragile defences.
Double Chance
Covers two of the three possible outcomes: 1X (home or draw), 12 (home or away), X2 (draw or away). Odds are lower but risk is reduced. Ideal for highly uncertain matches.
Handicap
The bookmaker gives a fictional advantage to the weaker team. Example: Handicap -1 on the favourite means they must win by 2+ goals. Allows you to improve odds on a strong favourite or back the underdog with a "head start".
Correct Score
Betting on the exact score at full time. Very high odds (often between 5 and 20). Reserved for premium bettors — our analyses include correct score predictions for subscribers.
