Patrick Vieira's Insights on Michael Olise
“There was never any doubt in his mind,” Patrick Vieira stated about Michael Olise. The former midfielder, who worked with the player during his time as Crystal Palace’s manager, explains that the young attacker has always had France in his sights. “He is French, he grew up with this culture, and even though he plays in England, his heart has always been with the Blues,” he added.
Michael Olise, who was formed at Chelsea and then revealed at Reading and Crystal Palace, quickly caught the attention of the young English national teams. But according to Vieira, the player was never tempted by a change of sporting nationality. “He had a clear vision of what he wanted. He worked hard to achieve his dream: wearing the shirt of the France national team,” stressed the former international.
